Mayo Auditorium Use Policy

Mayo Auditorium is a multipurpose space serving primarily inter-professional coursework needs and special events. It seats 455 with overflow capabilities to both Mayo 3-100 and 3-125. Use of Mayo Auditorium includes access to the pre-event lobby area and catering kitchen. 

Technology in Mayo Auditorium includes projection capabilities of podium PC or Laptop VGA and HDMI. 

It is also possible to videoconference with multiple sites. 

Scheduling Protocols 

Priority scheduling for Mayo Auditorium: 

1. Inter-professional courses with enrollment of 340 or more 

  • Requests will need to be submitted 6 months in advance of the semester start: March 1 for Fall Semester; July 1 for Spring Semester, December 1 for Summer Sessions.

2. High-profile, high-impact events with demonstrated capacity needs in excess of 200. 

  • AHC sponsored events will be scheduled first. Then University sponsored events.
  • Priority requests will need to be submitted 6 months in advance of the semester start: March 1 for Fall Semester; July 1 for Spring Semester, December 1 for Summer Sessions. 
  • Non-University, including Fairview, events will be scheduled after AHC and University programming. 
  • Student groups will not be scheduled in Mayo Auditorium and should contact the student unions for similar space.

Rates 

  • Inter-professional courses – no charge
  • AHC sponsored events – no charge except weekend/evening FM charges 
  • University sponsored events – no charge except weekend/evening FM charges 
  • Non-University sponsored events - $500.00/ 1-5 hours. $100/hr each additional hour

Rates for AV/videoconferencing support: 

  • Inter-professional courses – no charge
  • Orientation to equipment – no charge
  • AHC Classroom Services does not provide staffing for non-course events.

Groups wishing to use non-AHC Classroom Services technical support will need to contact AHC Classroom Services to schedule training session.

These protocols apply to use of Mayo Auditorium only. Mayo 3-100 and Mayo 3-125 are Academic Health Center classrooms and follow classroom use guidelines unless scheduled as overflow space for Mayo Auditorium. This type of use will be scheduled following course placement.
